Hurricane Fire

On July 21st the Hurricane hill about a 1/2 mile up the road from us was ignited in flames. The fire came down to the backyard of many homes. One of our friends homes was only about 50 feet from the fire at one point, it was really scarry for all the homeowners there i'm sure. One of the things that saved a lot of these homes was a homeowner (who's backyard is the hill side) installed gravel rock and a spinkling system behind his home and the homes surrounding him. As soon as the fire broke out he turned the sprinkling system on to help keep the fire from taking there homes. The Hurricane, LaVerkin, Virgin, Colorado City, and Washington City firefighters were awesome at controlling the fire. By the next morning it was 100% contained without any injuries or damage. It was started by some kids playing with some illegal fireworks unsupervised.
